Hoodline Launches Neighborhood Kit API

Climb Real Estate First to Add Customized Neighborhood Stories to Its Website

We are pleased to announce that we now have yet another way for real estate companies and others to integrate the best SF neighborhood news into their websites. In June, we launched our neighborhood kits – embeddable iframes chock-full of stories, photos and insights about culture, nightlife, places to eat and things to do in the city's neighborhoods.

Today, we're officially launching our customizable API. Customers can now get all of the stories, pictures and insights from the iframe, but have it look native to their websites. The custom API allows users to choose exactly which pieces of content they want to display, control the design, and directly incorporate into their websites.

Just like our iframe kits, the content available on our API is curated, dynamic, and updated as news is written.

We've been working with Climb Real Estate to build out our API, and are excited that our stories are now live and enriching Climb’s neighborhood pages. Climb is known for bringing innovation to the residential real estate industry and trying out new technology solutions, true to their San Francisco roots. They were a natural fit to be our first partner for custom integration.

When asked for some feedback about our API, the content, and the implementation process,

Mark Choey (Climb Co-founder and CTO) said:
“We’re really lucky to have a San Francisco-based editorial so focused on creating excellent local content. Climb is made up of people who are highly engaged with both Bay Area real estate and Bay Area culture, so we were excited to be able to work with Hoodline. They were great about adhering to Climb’s unique branding and style, and their content will help our clients discover everything that makes San Francisco’s neighborhoods unique.”

And Danyn Oakes (Climb’s Webmaster) said:
"Our neighborhood guides now offer up-to-date information about food and nightlife, art and culture, and development news as well as descriptions of the neighborhood's character, photos, and tips from our local agents. Hoodline made it easy for us to add their articles to our site without distracting from the clean, modern design that Climb is so well known for. We were able to completely customize the display of Hoodline's content in just a few days and seamlessly integrate it into the site's experience in a way that wasn't previously possible with a standalone widget."
